The Institute of agriculture and tourism in Poreč was founded in 1875. During 130 years of its existence and activities in Istria, the Institute has changed its name, contents and boundaries and levels of research and education. Since its foundation it has been solving important issues and problems of the Istrian agriculture. Today’s activities of the Institute are expanded; this institution collaborates with many Croatian and foreign institutions, organizes important scientific assemblies and is the host of various projects in the field of agronomy, agroeconomics and tourism. www.iptpo.hr

With in the territory of the Istrian town Rovinj, the past fifty years have been marked by the activities of the Tourist community of Rovinj. The Tourist community is the organizer, sponsor and a witness of numerous cultural (expositions, festivals, concerts) and sports events as well as eco-actions in the town.
